National Read an eBook Week #eBook #AmReading

Are you an avid reader? If so, celebrate National Read an eBook week! It started on Sunday, March 4 and lasts all week. Starting some time last year I “switched” over to eBook reading due to ease and availability of eBooks. For the environmentalist, eBooks are easy on the earth too!

You can get eBooks everywhere. Amazon, Nook, Kobo, Google Play, iTunes, and many more online stores carry all kinds of eBooks on every subject imaginable. There are novels, poetry chapbooks, nonfiction self-help books, I would even lump in Audiobooks for the businessperson with a long commute or the family going on vacation.

You can learn more about this week long event through its creator, Rita Toews from Winnipeg in Canada. Visit her website at continuumbooks.com, which further describes what “Read an eBook week” is and how to get involved.

Another wonderful source to find free eBooks and Audiobooks is your local library! I love using apps on my phone like Hoopla and Libby (Overdrive) that has literally thousands of titles to choose from. In most cases, you can borrow at least 8 titles per month and in some cases many more than that!

Looking for an easy read to get you started? Check out my poetry chapbook, “Poems for Warriors.” Available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Kobo. In anticipation of this week, I have reduced the price on my debut self-published eBook to just $2.99. None of the poems have ever been re-published here so to most of you, all these poems will be brand new.

If you enjoy my collection of poetry, be sure to leave a favorable review. I greatly appreciate it.

I am currently reading through Boundaries: When to say Yes and How to say No to Take Control of Your Life by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend.

What eBooks are you currently reading? What do you plan to start reading this week?
