“If you think of this world as a place simply intended for our happiness, you find it quite intolerable: think of it as a place for training and correction and it’s not so bad.” -C.S. Lewis
This quote puts things in the right perspective. C.S. Lewis is one of my favorite writers. He was a deep thinker who had a way with words. He communicated things that just made sense in a new and fresh way that previously was not obvious.
When we see our mistakes and failures as an opportunity, our outlook changes. It changes from what am I owed from this world, to how can I grow to offer this world something.
The first attitude is one of entitlement and the second is one of self-awareness. These clashing perspectives are polar opposites. Through the trials I have been facing currently I am working on my self-awareness. I looking at my failures and asking hard questions about myself so that I can learn and grow from my past and move forward.

Lovely! More people should be self aware
