“I love you. I don’t want this
to be the end of our story.”
That was the last meaningful text
You sent me
You filed for divorce a month later
Sometimes you don’t get a chance
To write the ending of your story

Yeah, it’s been rough but also good if that makes sense. We were kidding ourselves about the state of our relationship and now we can both heal. It’s a long, hard process that we are both working through
oh i see it .. I don’t have anything to say because i have no right or experience yet regarding marriage cause im not yet married but yeah I just felt the sadness in your words …..
Yeah it is pretty sad… got sucked in to looking at old texts
hmm okay … is keeping those old text helps you ? … ( sigh ) still sad 🙁
i mean reading or looking ..
Probably not
That’s sad
Sorry, I don’t mean to make you sad… It’s the new reality but as Semisonic says, “Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.”
Yeah
Sadly, this is the story of many marriages nowadays
Jason – Wow! Powerful. Sad. Insightful. Personal. Great poem. I can’t imagine how hard this must have been to write and share. -Jill
Thanks Jill… thankfully I was a few months removed from the beginning of it… time does really help the healing process. Not surprising also is that writing really helps the healing too. Poems like this help me put things in perspective, reflect, and then let go.
That one was beautifully written.
Thank you 🙂
You are most welcome my friend.
