If you have been following my blog for the past few months, you have realized or sensed that I am going through some tough stuff. I have poured out my heart in words in my poetry and I have been graciously received by so many of you going through your own stuff and others who have been so supportive in your many ways.
Thank you!
I am starting a new book by an author you might be familiar with: Brené Brown. She has written books on leadership, on being bold and courageous, and in 2015, she wrote a book about how to get back up after getting knocked down. That book is Rising Strong: How the Ability to Reset Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent and Lead.
I am excited to start this new book to gain some insightful wisdom for my own situation and to help others in their situation. As new insights are gleaned, I hope to share them here and to keep you, reader, apprised of my ever-changing state. if you want to join me on this journey, feel free to pick up the book on Amazon, or from any other fine book retailer you prefer.
I feel like this goes along perfect with my “new journey” post from a few weeks ago. Reading is something that I love to do. However, as life became more and more busy, I was unable to really devote much time to it for probably the last ten years. Now that things have changed, it has given me much more time to read and expand my horizon. See my post about the new Ellie Kemper book, “Squirrel Days.” Spoiler alert: it was hilarious, a wonderful diversion that lifted my spirits and encouraged my soul!
Now, to leave you with one parting quote from Rising Strong’s introduction:

May you always be strong!

My site is also reflective of things I may be going through at the time, particularly when a theme emerges.. I find it extremely cathartic.

Yes, but if it changed your life, it’s a book I’d want to keep 🙂
