Fountain Square, Downtown Cincinnati, OH

Fifth Third downtown
Busy, bustling bank
Gunshots ring out
Chaos scatters lives
Drop to the ground
Run in terror
Fear
Overcoming the streets
Targeting the public
Engaged and taken out
Senseless assault
On Fountain Square
Active shooter
Dead

Check out my books!

There was another senseless act of violence carried out today at Fountain Square in Cincinnati, OH. As of now, three are dead including the shooter, and two more were rushed off to the hospital.

This horrible act again highlights the dire need we have here in the United States for increased gun control to keep our cities and our people safe. We can’t keep doing the same things and expect a different result. Until laws are passed limited access to guns and especially assault-type weapons, that no common citizen should own, we are going to see this continue and continue as it has for almost 20 years now (since Columbine High School in 1999).

I am praying for the victims of this senseless act, as well as the family members of those who have been lost. I am also praying for everyone in Fountain Square when the shooting started. This is a terrifying and surreal experience that no one should ever have to endure. I am so thankful for the first responders, for each one’s bravery and courage.
