Death and beauty
Life and decay
Gazing past the cemetery
I see the endless horizon
Vast, expansive
Limitless in its breadth
The cemetery is grounding
Go for a swim!
Before your time
Expires

Powerful words. I love the two opening lines with the contrasts death-beauty and life-decay. These two verses have great strength that is kept until the end of the poem. The last three verses provide a perfect closure. This poem is a chant to life because there is nothing more opposite to life as death.
