Journal of Chrissie is the winner of my first-ever #PoetryImageryChallenge.

She wrote a magnificent poem to go with the photo I took above. It touches on some of our darkest moments, when we feel alone, and helpless.

It took her a bit of encouragement but I feel like she came up with some very inspired words:

Darkness
Before dawn
Consuming in me
Only what I see
No-one to believe in me
When the darkness is around, suffocating
Consuming in me
The light that only I see
Before the dawn
