“What hell meant to break me has failed
Now nothing will silence my praise
I will cry out in worship
The walls of the prison will shake
The chain-breaking King will rise to save
As we cry out in worship”“Victory is Yours” / Bethel Music
I love this verse in the song “Victory is Yours” by Bethel Music. I feel like the past seven months (and probably for much longer than that), there has been an attack on me and my family from the enemy. He has been trying to destroy us, to drive us away from Jesus, to discredit our testimony and ruin our lives.
Yes, our marriage ended. That sucks. But having gone through it, I have been learning new tools that I needed to be a more whole, complete person, and seeing things in myself that needed to change has all been worth it. I feel like I am stronger, and I am more aware, and ultimately, I feel like I am walking closer to the Lord than I have ever been. The enemy’s plans and schemes have backfired. I feel a new sense of purpose. I feel a new voice inside me. I feel like there is a hope and future for my life.
I am so excited for all that God is doing in this season and I am so expectant for all that He will continue to do in my life and in those around me. I have laid down all my shame and I am not hiding anymore. I am fully prepared to own my mistakes and my past, and to demonstrate how I will move forward a new and changed man.
This life is hard. Marriage is hard. Parenting is hard. But I don’t have to do it alone. I can do it. God is right there with me. I have people around me who love me, care about me, and support me.
What the enemy meant to destroy me, God has used to transform my life and my heart. I am so thankful for a loving, forgiving, gracious, tender God who cares about me so deeply. He is a good Father, a faithful friend, the most powerful God of all.

Victory is Yours Lyrics
Our fight is with weapons unseen
Your enemies crash to their knees
As we rise up in worship
When trials unleash like a flood
The battle belongs to our God
As we cry out in worship
Chorus:
The victory is Yours
You’re riding on the storm
Your name is unfailing
Though kingdoms rise and fall
Your throne withstands it all
Your name is unshaken
What hell meant to break me has failed
Now nothing will silence my praise
I will cry out in worship
The walls of the prison will shake
The chain-breaking King will rise to save
As we cry out in worship
Bridge:
You roar like thunder
Nothing can tame
God, all-powerful, all-powerful
We pull down heaven
With shouts of praise
God, all-powerful, all-powerful

Among the hard truths is that, satan works double over-time 24/7 to destroy us, one way or another–ESPECIALLY when it’s clear we are chasing after God full-time, and SO Beloved by HIM.
