Ideal for watercolors, but also works with acrylics or oil paints, I bought some new pads of paper to continue experimenting with my abstract art and to continue to hone my skills.
Like writing, painting is a positive outlet and way to express my feelings and emotions without offloading hurt on others. I have really been feeling much better as of late with all that is going on and I feel better and better with the unknown that is yet to come.
My question to you is, do you have any ideas of new “projects” I should try to create with my new pads and paint?

Have you ever tried doing collage? There is pure collage (paper and glue) and mixed media collage (paper, adhesive of some kind, paint and anything you want to use). I think mixed media might be more to your liking.
However, there is a project that I do with my creativity students. Take 1 sheet of poster board (any colour you like, but I recommend black or white). Adhesive (Elmer’s glue is great for this project). And a stack of magazines. For the first half hour rip out any images or words that appeal to you (set a timer). Then for the next half hour, arrange and glue them down on your poster board. You may be surprised by what you choose and how it turns out. Keeping the time limit is important because it stops you from second guessing about the images you are choosing.
Hope this is helpful. -Jill

Thanks Jill… I haven’t made any collages like that in probably a couple decades
