Success is the ability to move from one failure to another without loss of enthusiasm. -Winston Churchill
Finally saw all of Molly’s Game Directed by Aaron Sorkin. It is based on the true story of Molly Bloom, sister of Olympic skier and NFL kick returner, Jeremy Bloom, and how she was tangled up in running an illegal poker game, and then arrested by the FBI.
What’s unique about the movie is that it’s a gambling movie with a positive message about a unique individual who made mistakes but ultimately kept her integrity and was shown mercy against the odds.
Despite a horrifying crash in the Olympic trials as a teen, losing everything when the FBI seized all of her accounts, she still was able to rise and stand up and start over.
The movie closes with Churchill’s quote above about perseverance and resilience in the face of failure.
Failure is not the last word, it is the beginning of a new story.
If someone hasn’t said that before, I claim it as my quote! π

Wow! Failure is not the last word. It’s the beginning…
