Breaking free from the nest
Racing over sand dunes
The sun’s heat beating down
Swarms of gulls flock
Circling above ready to swoop
Streaking towards the water
Digging in the soggy sand
Wave of relief
Rescue overtakes
Powerful force pulls
Out to sea
