Can you win my first ever Poetry Imagery Challenge?
Check out this picture I took! Fellow poets and writers, use it as inspiration for your next poem. My challenge is to write a poem and add it to my picture. It must fit within the picture and still be legible in order to be eligible. Any form, style or meter will do. Also, I prefer it be written in English as that is my native language.
Link your poem to my blog post by copying the https from this post into your WordPress blog or email me a link to your post or the poem to my email: poemsforwarriors (at) gmail.com.
Deadline to submit your poem is Friday, August 10 by 8pm Mountain Daylight Time.
I will go through the poems and post one or two of my favorites to my blog and share a link for others to visit your site. Check for the winner sometime on Monday, August 13 back here at my site. Follow me and I will check out your blog and all you are currently working on. Get the word out by sharing this post and using the hashtag #PoetryImageryChallenge
Good luck!
By submitting your poem and entering this competition, you grant me permission to re-post your poem and share your blog on this site. The writer retains all copyrights to the work. The photo was taken by me and I grant you permission to modify it to take part in this challenge.
If I had a poetic bone in my body, I would have loved to take part. As it is, I am a lot better at writing short stories, than rhyming… Can’t wait to see what others come up with, though.

I bet you could do it… try a Hay(na)ku… one word first line, then two word second line, then a third line with three words 😉
