Walking #COVID19 #Coronavirus #Self-Quarantine

I got outside today for just the second time all week.

It is kind of weird how this virus has affected everyone’s lives, the patterns of going to work or the store, even getting exercise. Some people are still going out every day for walks or just to get in the yard to work on their garden, wash their car, change their oil, but some of us don’t get out as much as we’d like.

It was so refreshing to just walk around the neighborhood. The sky was a perfect shade of cerulean blue. There was barely a cloud in the sky. The Rocky Mountains were still snow-capped out in the distance. The birds and squirrels were out in full force. I saw a lot of other “walkers” and bikers and runners on the sidewalk.

I kept my distance, walking on the grass, as people passed me. Most people walking were in groups, I assume with family members from their household. Several people were out walking their dog.

I got about a 4 mile walk in, making a good-sized “loop” around my neighborhood. Spring flowers are sprouting, the green is starting to really come out on some trees and bushes. We actually had snow this week even though we’ve moved into April, but the hearty Spring flowers didn’t seem to mind too much.

Make sure you are taking care of yourself if you are in “self-quarantine.”

Stay safe!

  1. Yes, a four mile walk just what is needed. Who knew that a trip to the grocery store would be the highlight of the week 😁
    Much love ❤️
