“Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” -Carl Jung
This quote by the late, great Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, Carl Jung, really resonates with me.
Sometimes I find that I am “sleepwalking” through life. Getting up, getting ready, going to work, coming home… over and over.
Not that I don’t find inspiration and meaning in my work and my life, but like anyone, I can get stuck in ruts of going through the motions.
I find at times in my life when I am “sleepwalking,” those are good times to check in with my heart. Oftentimes, I require new vision. I need to see what I am doing and get a revived purpose in my efforts.
Sometimes it requires me to stop doing some things and start doing something new.
But that vision always starts with the heart.
What is it your heart needs? What is it your heart wants at this time?
Is that something you can give your heart?
How?
Take the time (and effort) to check in with your heart to see things with new perspective.
– Jason
Very well summed 👏 👏 yes our heart knows it all, only if we’d take time to listen to it.. ❤

I love this but I also appreciate how difficult it can be to stop and look inside. It can lead to great things but it can also unearth some painful stuff too!

I agree. It takes both vulnerability and honesty. Some memories are too painful to return to for a time. Ultimately, despite the pain, it is worth it to work through the pain and past.
