“The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It’s the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows and the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years.” -Audrey Hepburn
I love this quote by the transcendent Hollywood actress, Audrey Hepburn.
A person’s eyes tell a story.
They are a window to the soul.
Looking into someone eyes are an important part of communication, of building trust with someone, or to sense if there is a brewing distrust that needs to be repaired.
When you meet someone for the first time, try to make eye contact. Look at them with your eyes. It will show openness, curiosity and a genuine respect, signaling an interest to begin a new relationship.

Helpful and maybe even life-changing advice. When I first met my husband, I fell in love with eyes. Genuine and caring eyes. I am so glad we looked at each other. I hope young people are hearing this advice and practicing it. I am just not so sure with our screen time culture. I taught at a HS that expected students to shake the teacher’s hand at the door. I loved this policy and would not let them enter my room without also looking me in the eye. Uncomfortable for some, but so valuable, and as you mentioned, this practice strengthens relationships. Thanks for the reminder, as I put down my device. đŸ˜‰
