“Nothing is ever really gone until your mom can’t find it.” – Fredrik Backman, My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry
I just started a new Fredrik Backman book… and I love it already. I love Backman’s novel because of all the humor he infuses into his books. What I really enjoy is the absurdity of his characters, the frustrations, the conflict that arises from their contrasting personalities.
The main head-butting going on in the latest Backman novel I am reading, “My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry,” is between Elsa’s mom and her grandma. Her grandma tries to skirt every rule, break every law, and escape the hospital care she is receiving, and her mom is the “responsible” one. Elsa is caught between these two strong women with “superpowers.”
I think I am going to really enjoy this book 🙂
